Laney Dezanet

My name is Laney Dezanet, and I am a clinician at Oak Ridge Counseling. I graduated from the University of South Carolina at Aiken with my master’s in Applied Clinical Psychology. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia and South Carolina, and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina. I am also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional from Evergreen Certifications.

I have experience working with ages five and up. I have worked in several different settings, including inpatient psychiatric treatment facilities, community-based mental health, and state contract assessment work.

I utilize several evidence-based modalities while working with individuals including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing, solution-focused therapy, strengths-based therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), but will utilize other approaches when needed. Additionally, I offer and utilize family therapy for children and adolescents as needed.

My goal for therapy is to meet every client where they are at. I strive to help people feel heard and seen in the therapy room by creating a nonjudgmental space for everyone.
