Alisha Bisbee

My name is Alisha Bisbee, and I am the practice owner and a clinician at Oak Ridge Counseling. I graduated with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Viterbo University – La Crosse, WI. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Wisconsin and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor here in North Carolina. I have experience working with ages five and up. I have worked in several settings, including residential treatment facilities, college campuses, school-based settings, pediatric clinics, and private practice settings. I enjoy working with all ages and specialize in working with individuals who are experiencing depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, non-suicidal self-injury, behavioral concerns, adjustment disorders, maternal mental health, and trauma and stress-related disorders.

I utilize several evidence-based modalities while working with individuals, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Solution-Focused Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, and Somatic Experiencing. I also incorporate play therapy techniques into sessions when working with children.
